Abstract Submission Guidelines

  • Abstracts can only be submitted online via the abstract submission link that will be made available on this website. Abstracts sent by post, fax, or email will not be accepted. No exceptions will be made.
  • All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.
  • The content of the abstract must fall under one of the categories listed below:
    1. Epidemiology & Clinical Management of Invasive Infections
    2. Cutaneous & Implantation Mycoses
    3. Pediatric & Neonatal Mycology
    4. Diagnostic Innovations & Biomarkers
    5. Antifungals: Resistance, Stewardship & New Drugs
    6. Host–Pathogen Interactions & Immunology
    7. One Health Mycology
  • To ensure a smooth abstract review process, the category and topic of the work must be selected during submission.
  • Authors must indicate their preferred presentation format: Poster or Oral. Case reports are preferably submitted as poster presentations.
  • The title is limited to 250 characters (including spaces).
  • A maximum of 10 authors is permitted per abstract.
  • If the presenting author is a YOUNG ISHAM participant, the corresponding option must be selected during submission.
  • The abstract body must not exceed 500 words, corresponding to approximately 2,500 characters (including spaces).
  • Characters from the Title, Authors, Affiliations, Keywords, and Funding Agencies will not be included in the word/character count.
  • Please insert three keywords.
  • The abstract should include a title that clearly reflects the nature of the investigation. Depending on whether the submission is a Research Abstract or a Case Report, the body should follow the structure outlined below.

Research Abstract Format

  4. Conclusion

Case Report Format

  1. Introduction
  2. Case Report
  3. Discussion and Conclusion
  • The abstract may include up to one figure and/or one table.
  • Please ensure that the abstract does not contain spelling, grammar, or scientific errors, as it will be reproduced exactly as submitted. Linguistic accuracy is the responsibility of the submitting author.
  • The presenting author must be registered for the Congress.
  • If accepted, the presenting author must attend the in-person Congress to be held in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil.
  • After submission of the abstract on the website, no changes will be allowed to the submitted data or to the composition of the work. Modifications to submitted abstracts will only be permitted if requested by the Scientific Committee.
  • Authors may submit a maximum of two abstracts per registration. Abstracts may be submitted within the same category or across different categories.
  • Details regarding poster and oral presentations will be published later.

Awards

The Atlas of Clinical Fungi Foundation will award a printed copy of the Atlas of Clinical Fungi, including two years of full web access, to the Best YISHAM Oral Presentation.

The best oral and poster presentations (Non-YISHAM) will receive one year of free web access.

All conference participants are invited to submit their work to the new journal One Health Mycology. No publication fees apply.
